What this publication is for

We serve general readers, Assyrians and members of the diaspora, students and teachers, and people arriving through one historical question. Our aim is an approachable first reference: clear enough to begin with, sourced well enough to continue from.

Ancient evidence and modern identity claims are not blended together. We label established evidence, scholarly interpretation, community self-identification and state categories when the distinction matters.

Ownership and independence

This edition is independently published and does not claim institutional endorsement. No sponsor, university, museum, church, political organisation or government controls its editorial position. Museum and academic sources are cited because of their evidence, not as partners.

Authorship is labelled “Assyrian History editorial team” rather than assigning scholarship to a person who did not write it. When named scholars disagree, the relevant view is attributed.

What comes next

The structured content system allows future editors to add researched articles without redesigning the publication. Analytics and advertising are absent from this release. Reusable ad positions exist in code but remain disabled so they do not interrupt reading.
